When building the ideal customer experience, it will be important to have cohesive, convenient, and productive customer interactions, no matter what stage of the customer journey. Technology will no doubt be at the forefront to integrate these qualities into every customer interaction at scale. Therefore, when choosing a customer care technology like an Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA), it is important to not simply implement technology just for the sake of technology, but to make sure that it is enhancing the overall customer experience.

A consortium of Global 2000 companies founded a joint authentication service provider to keep up with innovation at competitive Fintech companies. The new provider developed a mobile authentication app to maintain a high degree of mobile security without losing customers to UX-focused Fintech companies. As peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions grew rapidly, so did the false rejections and need for manual review. In evaluating security vendors for a more cohesive and frictionless solution, the provider selected BehavioSec for its enterprise grade capabilities to be deployed on-premise and integrate with existing legacy risk management systems.

Omnichannel is one of those words everyone uses, but few use correctly. It’s not another word for multichannel. It’s a different state of existence. In our experience, multichannel is the ability to interact with customers across many different channels, but not necessarily in a cohesive fashion. As new channels become available, they are “bolted on” to existing customer experience infrastructure such as CRM or customer support systems. Too frequently, the management of these channels becomes siloed (web versus in-store sales, for example). The effect of this from the customer experience standpoint can be disjointed and jarring. For example, the resolution of an issue following a customer conversation with an associate in the contact center may not be reflected when the customer goes online or into a store. Yet the ability to offer multichannel service experience is table stakes for today’s business. If you’re not available in the channels where customers want you to be, you cease to b

While just about everyone is writing about how IT and the businesses it serves need to be transformed, the actual industry answers to both digital and IT transformation remain unclear at best. Are transformational initiatives all about analytics and big data? Or are they about the move to cloud in all its varieties? Support for mobile? More agile ways of working and developing software? Or are they actually all about crafting teams to promote more proactive dialog between the business and IT? The truth is, of course, digital and IT transformation depend on all of the above and more. They also depend on a resilient infrastructure that’s easily adapted to changing business priorities without requiring long hours spent on maintenance, updates, and addressing problems of service availability. But making all this work clearly and cohesively is far beyond the purview of almost any solution today—whether from a software management perspective or from a hardware infrastructure perspective.

It also confirms that tax agencies already have vital data at their fingertips; the challenge is to find new and better ways to put it to use. Finally, it describes how a cohesive compliance strategy demands an agile, balanced solution of people, processes, technology, and data.

In order to meet the challenges presented by the use of mobile apps and cloud services in the enterprise, a new generation of identity protocols has been developed. OpenID Connect 1.0 uses the same building blocks as the modern application architectures and APIs it secures—REST and JSON. This allows it to profile and extend OAuth 2.0 to add an identity layer—creating a singular, cohesive framework that promises to secure APIs, mobile native applications and browser applications. This paper introduces OpenID Connect (Connect), detailing its features and its application in enterprise use cases.

In today’s application driven, cloud agnostic world, many organizations still rely on legacy, multiple point backup and recovery products that consist of backup software, target storage, media and master servers, and cloud gateways, all from different vendors. With slow backups and long recovery times of their existing backup products, organizations are unable to meet their tight business SLAs. Constant forklift upgrades and complex management UIs make it expensive to manage the current backup and recovery environments.

Until recently, Manhattan Associates had used a traditional secondary storage solution to manage its large and rapidly expanding data footprint of ~1PB. Designed for traditional workflows, the company’s IT team realized it had become cost prohibitive to add features to their existing environment to support their VM level backups. Like most traditional storage options, the existing solution did not scale-out linearly, and complicated the environment by creating silos. With Cohesity’s scale-out architecture, the team was able to start small and grow their Cohesity environment on the go, yet keep it unified and simple. See how Manhanttan Associates achieved operational efficiency and lowered their TCO by supporting VM data protection, supporting native integration with the public cloud and providing simple converged solution for data protection, target storage and files. The University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) is a public research university and one of the 10 campuses of the University of California system. Its secondary storage was a combination of multiple point solutions. The UI/setup and maintenance was complex. Maintaining multiple licensing and maintenance agreements negatively impacted the administrative cost. The skyrocketing cost for additional backup capacity limited the team’s ability to expand their backup protection to many critical systems. With Cohesity's unified hyperconverged secondary storage platform, the IT team provided a single solution for all 13 departments to consolidate their backups on one platform, and scale-out as required. Today, hybrid cloud is increasingly the norm, and enterprises are challenged with ways to have visibility, manage and make use of all this data – both on-premises and in the cloud. While much attention has been given to primary data affecting mission-critical workloads, data for secondary workloads – backup, test/dev, disaster recovery, and archiving to name a few – have become siloed the same way application data has, leading to multiple point solutions to manage an increasing amount of data. This white paper looks at the evolution of these challenges and offers practical advice on ways to store, manage and move secondary data in hybrid cloud architectures while extracting the hidden value it can provide. Every 14 seconds. That’s how often analysts predict ransomware will attack a business this year. Despite the best efforts to thwart ransomware attacks, cyber criminals are innovative, and they continue to create new malware. This means more sophisticated and targeted ransomware attacks are coming—all with the same goal: Disrupt business operations in the hopes victims will pay to restore order. No industry is immune. And because enterprises are now even more attractive targets than consumers, your organization must proactively prepare for when, not if, cyber criminals come for your data.
