Customer relationship management (CRM) deployments are most effective when they legitimately support all three words that make up the acronym itself. Customers of the modern business-to-business (B2B) enterprise benefit when they purchase goods and services from companies who are focused on the buyer’s experience. Internal relationships within the selling organization are more effectively maintained when all customer-facing stakeholders have access to the rich data contained in a well-maintained CRM. And the management of the enterprise providing solutions can run their business like a finely-tuned machine when the maximum levels of visibility into customers and accounts are clear and accurate. This Research Brief combines research from a number of Aberdeen Sales Effectiveness research data sets, to create a holistic view of the most effectively deployed CRM systems.

Good supply chain management is essential to your operational efficiency, customer centricity, compliance, carbon footprint, and ultimately, your overall success. If handled correctly, your supply chain should improve customer service—along with the reputation of your brand—and boost your bottom line. But, as with many areas of business, the rules of the game are changing. What’s changing? Well, everything. New regulations, increased buyer expectations, shorter product lifecycles, fluctuations in demand, new market entrants, more ethical supplier management, poor visibility of globalized supply chains—all these things, and more, are testing the limits of the traditional supply chain model. The simple truth is that the way things used to be done, and the solutions that enabled it, are no longer up to the job. Today, organizations need levels of flexibility, integration, and visibility that are beyond what those systems were designed to deliver.

As more hardware, devices, apps, and tools are deployed to support growth, the infrastructure becomes increasingly difficult to integrate, manage and support. The concept of converged infrastructure was seen as the answer to this problem. However, when bringing together disparate components not deeply integrated or designed to work together, this "solution" sapped efficiency and added more complexity. Plus, there was no convenient public cloud option. Explore how Oracle Engineered Systems are designed to overcome the limitations of traditional converged infrastructure solutions.

"The need to simplify IT complexity has created a whole new market for converged infrastructure solutions that bring together servers, storage, networking, and systems software into a unified solution that is easier to deploy and manage. While these solutions can indeed help reduce operational costs and increase agility, Oracle believes there is a better approach."

In today’s IT infrastructure, data security can no longer be treated as an afterthought, because billions of dollars are lost each year to computer intrusions and data exposures. This issue is compounded by the aggressive build-out for cloud computing. Big data and machine learning applications that perform tasks such as fraud and intrusion detection, trend detection, and click-stream and social media analysis all require forward-thinking solutions and enough compute power to deliver the performance required in a rapidly evolving digital marketplace. "With the introduction of Oracle Database In-Memory and servers with the SPARC S7 and SPARC M7 processors Oracle delivers an architecture where analytics are run on live operational databases and not on data subsets in data warehouses. Decision-making is much faster and more accurate because the data is not a stale subset. And for those moving enterprise applications to the cloud, Real-time analytics of the SPARC S7 and SPARC M7 processors are available both in a private cloud on SPARC servers or in Oracle’s Public cloud in the SPARC cloud compute service. Moving to the Oracle Public Cloud does not compromise the benefits of SPARC solutions. Some examples of utilizing real time data for business decisions include: analysis of supply chain data for order fulfillment and supply optimization, analysis of customer purchase history for real time recommendations to customers using online purchasing systems, etc. "
