Professional buyers increasingly expect a hassle-free, fully digital experience with visibility into pricing. Electrical products in particular are a major growth area for Amazon Business and other digital entrants, some of whom undercut the market with bottom-barrel prices. It can be scary out there, but only if you don’t have a plan. This whitepaper provides a playbook for: • Reimagining how you tackle pricing challenges • Dynamically responding to cost changes • Embracing the right technology • Going the extra mile with services that Amazon can’t match If you’re making the leap to eCommerce or bolstering an existing online presence to meet customer expectations, pricing cannot be an afterthought. In digital channels, pricing rigor - including effectively maintaining market-aligned customer-specific and system prices and setting up relevant price profiles - becomes even more important as it is more transparent to customers. Give your buyers what they want without sacrificing the marg

Adobe named a Leader in Forrester's DXP report (Forrester Wave™: Digital Experience Platforms, Q2 2019) Why audience should care: To keep pace with increasing customer expectations and drive business growth, you need to manage your customers' experiences from beginning to end. You need real-time customer insights, connected to solutions that deliver those experiences immediately. And just as important as technology are the people and processes you put in place. Supporting concepts: This is significant, because in the first version of this report in 2015 Adobe was the only (albeit just barely) leader. In the second version in 2017, Adobe has been demoted and Oracle was a leader. Our advancements with Adobe Experience Platform have certainly had a significant impact on our positioning this year. One of the key points highlighted for Adobe being a leader is the focus on enterprise-scale dynamic customer profiles and event-based integration and workflow. Adobe continues to expa

When it comes to cybersecurity, you can only defend what you can see. Organizations continue to suffer breaches, oftentimes because they do not have continuous, real-time visibility of all their critical assets. With more data and applications moving to the cloud, IoT and other emerging technologies, the attack surface continues to expand, giving adversaries more blind spots to leverage. Watch a webinar with SANS where we examine how to: Discover, classify and profile assets and network communications Detect threats and decode content in real-time at wire speed Hunt for unknown threats via rich, indexable metadata Alter your terrain and attack surface with deception to slow down attackers By knowing your cyber terrain and increasing the risk of detection and cost to the adversary, you can gain a decisive advantage.

Today’s CIOs no longer just oversee technology. They are now key strategists who guide their organizations and give them the tools they need to stay competitive. A study by Forbes Research stated that five years ago, a CIO’s most critical skill was deploying technology. Now, the #1 way that CIOs provide value is by contributing to the corporate strategy, so they can advance business objectives and drive revenue.1 In particular, CEOs rely on the CIO for guidance around digital transformation. Organizations must transform how they operate and take advantage of new technologies to better engage customers and employees. Digital transformation falls squarely on the shoulders of IT leaders. CIOs are under pressure to drive transformation – overcoming barriers such as cultures that are resistant to change, employees who want to upload files anywhere, and increased concerns about data security. CEOs also expect CIOs to achieve results now. The longer you wait, the more likely you will fall beh

The velocity of technology infrastructure change continues to accelerate, putting serious stress on Security Operations (SecOps). This has forced security folks to face the fact that operations has never really been their forte. That’s a bit harsh, but denial never helps address problems. The evidence is fairly strong that most organizations are pretty bad at security operations. How many high-profile breaches could have been avoided if one of many alerts was acted upon? How many attacks were made possible by not having properly patched servers or infrastructure? How many successful compromises resulted from human error?

One of the biggest challenges IT ops teams face is the lack of visibility across its infrastructure — physical, virtual and in the cloud. Making things even more complex, any infrastructure monitoring solution needs to not only meet the IT team’s needs, but also the needs of other stakeholders including line of business (LOB) owners and application developers. For companies already using a monitoring platform like Splunk, monitoring blindspots arise from the need to prioritize across multiple departments. Technology is transforming how we do our jobs, and employees expect the business to accommodate their work habits. › Companies must identify roles and profiles and support their needs. Not every employee will require the same devices to get their jobs done efficiently and effectively. It is paramount for organizations to seek out specific devices to enable different worker personas. › IT must become a trusted partner to keep security top of mind. Employees showed a lack of trust toward IT when facing an issue with their device or ecosystem. It is imperative for IT to become part of the solution and not the problem; otherwise, workers will find ways to go around security policies and fix problems on their own, putting the firm at even more risk. › Employees require a more complete ecosystem. Over the last decade customer-brand relationships have become more and more digitized. Companies have enjoyed access to new technologies, new capabilities, and greater access to customer data. In turn, consumers have become better informed and able to connect with brands with greater flexibility and convenience. However, concerns around mismanagement of customer data, the proliferation of fake news, high profile retailer database breaches, and the Cambridge Analytica scandal has contributed to an erosion of trust between consumers and brands and demands for data privacy. What can brands do to overcome consumer skepticism? What keeps a customer coming back in 2018? And what can brands do to demonstrate relevancy and provide value?

Fileless attacks surged in 2017, largely due to their ability to bypass traditional antivirus solutions. Last year was host to several fileless malware victories. OceanLotus Group infiltrated Asian corporations during Operation Cobalt Kitty, and conducted nearly six months of fileless operations before detection. Ransomware hall-of-famers Petya and WannaCry both implemented fileless techniques in their kill chains. Every major player in information security agrees that fileless attacks are difficult to stop, and the threats are growing worse. Abandoning files is a logical and tactical response to traditional AV solutions which have overcommitted to file-intensive and signature-based blacklists. What can security solutions offer when there are no infected files to detect? How will a blacklist stop an aggressor that only uses legitimate system resources? The security landscape is changing and the divide between traditional AV products and next-generation security solutions is growing wider by the day. Cylance® has built a reputation on security driven by artificial intelligence and provides a frontline defense against fileless malware. This document details how Cylance protects organizations.

A significant paradigm shift occurred in the last few years. Much like other technological shifts of the last decade — when cloud computing changed the way we do business, agile changed the way we develop software and Amazon changed the way we shop — Zero Trust presents us with a new paradigm in how we secure our organizations, our data and our employees. While difficult to identify the precise tipping point, one thing is certain: what were once extraordinarily high-profile, damaging breaches are no longer extraordinary. In just the last 18 months, Yahoo, Accenture, HBO, Verizon, Uber, Equifax, Deloitte, the U.S. SEC, the RNC, the DNC, the OPM, HP, Oracle and a profusion of attacks aimed at the SMB market have all proven that every organization — public or private — is susceptible. The epiphany behind the paradigm shift is clear: Widely-accepted security approaches based on bolstering a trusted network do not work. And they never will. Especially when businesses are dealing with skill

Another must have feature of any modern Availability solution is self-service restore. Self-service restore is essentially a delegation, or granting the task of restoring files within the guest OS to users that have administrative rights. In many organizations, there are users who are responsible for the applications running within the VMs. These application owners are the primary administrators for the files and folders within the VM — so why would they have to go to a backup administrator to simply restore a file? Self-service restore allows these applications owners to log into a portal, search through the content of the backups for their VMs only and perform any necessary restores of those files back to their original or new locations.

As the volume of unstructured data created and used continues to increase rapidly, organizations are faced with challenges around data storage. In response, many new technologies — specifically objectbased storage, software-defined storage, all-flash arrays, and cloud-based storage services — are experiencing rapid adoption. Yet object-based storage has been limited by the need to rewrite existing file-based applications — a prospect that is costly and requires more manpower than is practical for many organizations. Cloudian offers both an object storage platform and more recently an enterprise file services product. When deployed together, Cloudian's products are designed to consolidate file and object data into a single repository and can enable organizations to manage environments that span the cloud as well as on-premises.

APIs are an emerging technology for integrating applications using web technology. This approach is exploding in popularity because it builds on well-understood techniques and leverages some existing infrastructure. But it is a mistake to think we can secure APIs using the same methods and technology that we used to secure the conventional, browser-centric web. While it is true that APIs share many of the same threats that plague the web, they are fundamentally differently and have an entirely unique risk profile that you need to manage. This eBooklet provides an overview of these new risks, and offers five simple solutions to counter the common threats. By adopting a secure API architecture from the beginning, organizations can pursue an API strategy more safely and securely — and reap the benefits of agile integration promised by this exciting new technology.
